Great for safety, bad for repair costs.
I guess there comes a point where the vehicle is going to be totaled no matter what in a wreck that bad, so as long as you can recycle and scrap the wrecked cars efficiently, it doesn’t matter how expensive the actual wreck is to “repair”.

Not many straight panels left after that. But the car did it’s job and the car would surely be written off anyway as cost of repairs would be way more than the car is worth.
